In Saudi Arabia, the Tahsili (achievement test) and Qudrat (aptitude test) are gatekeepers to university admission. Hundreds of thousands of students sit these exams annually, yet the digital prep landscape was fragmented-dominated by static PDFs, WhatsApp groups, and legacy websites that hadn't been updated in a decade. Students needed a platform that could simulate real exam pressure, explain mistakes intelligently, and show them exactly where they stood relative to their peers.Nothing like that existed at scale.
The Challenge
When we started building Mubhir.ai, three core problems were clear:

Existing platforms treated exam prep as a passive activity-watch a video, read a PDF. Students weren't practicing under timed, exam-like conditions. Retention was low, and anxiety was high.
Zero Feedback Loops
Students completed practice sets but had no visibility into weak subjects, time management issues, or progress trends. They were studying blind.
Onboarding Friction
Most local edtech tools required lengthy registrations, manual payment verification, or clunky mobile experiences. For a generation used to TikTok and Uber, this was unacceptable.

We stripped away administrative clutter and built a focused exam environment: clean timers, distraction-free question layouts, and instant navigation. Every interaction was tested with actual Tahsili/Qudrat students to keep the cognitive load on the questions, not the interface.
AI-Powered Tutoring & Analytics
Wrong answers don't end with a red cross. Mubhir's AI tutor breaks down why a student missed a question, links to relevant concept explanations, and adapts subsequent drills to shore up weak areas. On the backend, granular analytics give students and parents clear dashboards: subject-wise accuracy, time-per-question trends, percentile rankings, and predicted score bands.
Frictionless Access
We optimized the registration flow to under 60 seconds with social login, instant trial access, and integrated local payment methods. No email verification chains, no "contact sales," just sign up and start solving.
Infrastructure That Scales
A NestJS-based backend with PostgreSQL handles concurrent exam sessions without lag, built to support thousands of simultaneous users from day one with caching and auto-scaling for peak prep seasons.
